They must also have not only experience teaching that specific subject but they must also have applied professional experience in the field. Background ChecksrnCreating an atmosphere that is safe and comfortable is of the utmost importance to the learning environment. To ensure the safety of our clients all our employees are subjected to the most rigorous background investigations allowable by federal law. Our instructors in particular, who have the most contact with students, are also subject to a panel screening.

Tutoring is an honorable profession. I am committed to uphold that honor. Where most tutors/teachers have the best of intentions, they end up simply solving problems and collecting checks. I prefer, however, to target a student\'s entire skill set(study skills, basic skills and problem solving techniques). At my worse I improve students\' grades, at my best I improve their self-esteem: Helping them to help others.

I love helping others learn and understand in new and interesting ways. I have flexible availablility: day, evening, and weekend hours are available. Get a head start or play catch up for the fall with one-on-one summer tutoring! I charge $20.00/hour for in-person one-on-one tutoring or email tutoring of middle school and high school students, and $30.00/hour for one-on-one tutoring or email tutoring of college students. We can meet at your home or mine or off-site at a coffee shop or library. If I am required to travel I charge $10.00/hour for travel time. I will travel up to 15 miles from Minneapolis. I am experienced working with both children and adults and am patient with all levels and speeds of learning. I love helping people understand concepts, and am very sympathetic to the frustrations of learning a new langauge--I am an American and English was my first langauge, but I speak French as well, and can tutor any of the subjects in French as well.
