I have been a part-time Chinese mandarin tutor in Sydney for a while. I can teach both children and adults. Most of my students started from very basic Chinese pinyin, phonetics, vocabularies, and sentence strutures as they did not know Chinese before. Now they have made great progress and can converse in simple Chinese not only in speaking but also writing. I can understand language learning is not an easy progress, as a teacher it is important to find effective ways of teaching depending on different characteristic of different students and being patient to the students at the same time. What is more important, language learning cannot be separated from culture learning as language is a part of culture. I have studied cross-culture communication as one of my major courses, and as a girl full of tolerance and persistence, I have confidence of myself in Chinese tutorial.
